The fluids listed in this part represent those commonly encountered during use. Test specimens need not be exposed to all or part of the listed fluids, nor is the list exhaustive. If fluids other than those listed in this part are used for testing, they shall be specified in the relevant specification. Appendix A provides guidance on the selection of test fluids, test specimens, and severity levels. This test is not intended to verify the operational suitability of components or equipment in continuous contact with fluids, such as immersed fuel pumps, nor is it intended to verify resistance to electrolytic corrosion. 2 Normative References The following documents contain provisions that, through reference in this part of GB/T 2423, constitute provisions of this part.
