Failure to address these issues will directly affect the implementation of major engineering projects under special conditions in China. The "Material Standards for Extreme (Special) Environmental Conditions" project aims to develop basic national standards through research on special plateau environmental conditions, major engineering basic materials, and electrical and electronic products. The content covers the plateau electrical and electronic equipment standard system, special environment terminology, classification of special environmental conditions, general rules for protection types, guidelines for high-altitude artificial simulation tests, and plateau adaptability requirements for metal materials, polymer materials, major electrical and electronic equipment, and engineering machinery.
